The Norwegian Government hides behind gray civil servants, citing rules and the importance of treating everybody the same, but the point every rational person in Norway is trying to make these days is that not everyone is the same; Marie Amelie's story is special in many ways. She came to Norway originally from Kaukasus in Russia, while she was still a minor and became an illegal immigrant as a result of decisions her parents made on her behalf. She has no or little memory of life in Russia, she has her entire life here in Norway, she is Norwegian in so many ways; all she needs is a citizenship! There have been nation wide demonstrations yesterday and today, and they will not stop until the girl gets to stay.<br /><br />The powers that be in Norway, at least the ones that are elected every four years, should remind themselves that this is an election year. They have picked the wrong girl to make an example of; paper-less refugees roam the streets of Oslo every day, selling bad hasjh and stealing good folks' mobile phones, but they are not thrown out; we have a known terrorists living here, seriously souring the relations between The USA and Norway, but he gets to stay (google Mullah krekar, read it and weep), and regularly we are informed that Serbian war criminals live and thrive here, never having been brought to justice for their actions prior to coming to Norway.But this girl, this intelligent and accomplished girl is to be thrown out???
